Lakin Scrimmage

14 girls took the court in Lakin for a scrimmage. The JV group went 4-1 & the V were 2-3. Good way to end our summer volleyball.

4th, 5th, 6th Scrimmage

Here are a few pictures of our live scrimmage with the 4th, 5th & 6th grade.

The Future, Part 2

Multiple days of 4th, 5th & 6th graders.  (Sorry for the not so wonderful phone pictures) BUT what a great group of 14 we worked with this week.  On Friday we spent the hour playing 6 vs 6.  Really good volleyball skills in this group.  Multiple times they were making 2 & 3 passes on their side before passing the ball over the net.  Every girl was serving well & calling the ball.  Excited to see what the future holds for these "Future Lady Plainsmen"

THANK YOU to the parents of these girls for getting them to camp this week.  We enjoyed getting to work with your daughters!!

High School Scrimmage

The high school girls have a very busy week! After having camp at 7 am, helping with Future Lady Plainsmen, they also scrimmaged Wednesday with Dighton & Sharon. It's fun to see what a difference a year has made. Up next is another scrimmage Saturday where they'll get lots of playing time having 5 matches scheduled!

8th grade scrimmage

The 8th graders played in a scrimmage at the beginning of the week. It was a great night, especially when they headed in to it after only 1 hour of camp.

If you love to watch volleyball, come see these girls play one of the days they are playing in Oakley this season. There is a good group of hard workers in the 7th & 8th grade this year.

The Future, Part 1

A couple years ago, I read an article about the growth of an athlete. The first thing it said, all players first need to develop a love of the game while learning how to play. And that is what motivated me to start our "Future Lady Plainsmen" skills.

These are our 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade group girls (on multiple days so some girls are pictured twice).  We had 10 girls throughout the week. What a fun time I've had and the high school girls working with them.

Top is Monday ~ Bottom is Thursday

A great big THANK YOU to all of the girls who attended, the girls who helped and the parents and grandparents who brought the girls and picked them up every day!
